WHY PRESIDENT RUTO HAVE NOT VISITED SHAKAHOLA

On an interview at citizen tv yesterday on Sunday 14may 2023, the president made it clear on why he has not paid a visit to shakahola forest and mourn with the people of malindi for the lost lives.He said that the area had been declared a scene of crime and only the intelligence and security team had been allowed to operate there.In a statement he said,"that was the reason why the azimio la umoja coalition leader Railla Odinga was denied entry as he had nothing to do there.

He said that he had done his best by having his cabinet secretary for interior Kithure Kindiki in control of ongoing there, paying a visit after each two or three days.He said he has selected a panel to carry out investigation and bring onboard all the people including the authoritarians involved in the heinous act.Also he has appointed a group of religious leaders to come up with the guidelines for religious leaders to avoid such incidents happening in future. However he added the freedom of worship should not be interupted.
